Kimimaro is probably one of the most kickass characters in Naruto, without a doubt, aside from Lee, Neji, and Itachi.
This was a cool pose, so I after I watched one of the episodes with him in it, I went back and paused it here, where he just pulled his bone-sword out of his shoulder, then drew it from the five-inch portable DVD player screen, pretty good for upsizing it, eh? (He went from about 3-4 inches tall on the screen to taking up nearly all the 11"x8.5" paper, so I think I did well ) Also, I had to improvise from the waist down. I think I went and paused it on different shots of him so I could get different details from different angles, and I think that thourough-ness helped, actually. I think I told the screenshot and my picture I hated it only a minimal number of times, so that was also an improvement... 9_9'''
Oh, and excuse the half-assed background....I uh....didn't feel like drawing the millions of Naruto shadow-clones behind him, and nor did I feel like shading in the trees and sky and clouds....eh...I was getting lazy by that point.

I drew this first in pencil, then went back over it in micron pen, which is really cool because of the fact that it can be so thin! I learned that with micron pen, depending on the angle at which you hold the pen, you can even get different values out of it, which rocks... ^_^ My best friend, told me to shade it in, so I have her to thank for the result (i was going to quit and call it a night but she told me to do it, so I did - I trust her judgement )
